This is a now page, inspired by Derek Sivers — a nearly-always updated page of what I’m up to these days.
My friends and others ask me what I’m doing. Instead of resorting to superficial social media updates, I’d prefer to say the important things here.
Let’s get to it!
Updated: January 2021
Can you believe we are now in 2022! Where did that year go…
The start of the new year always brings every online entrepreneur out of the woodwork to talk about their BIG GOALS. To quadruple their income to retiring within 5 years! Sure, I love goals and I do agree that you have to dream big but come on, the goals that you set should be somewhat achievable.
Here goes my achievable (he says!) goals for 2022:
Work Life
- Launch my e-book on investing.
- Add Cryptocurrencies into my investment portfolio and have a goal of £500 worth in Cryptocurrencies.
- Reach 1,000 followers on my Instagram account.
- Engage and post more regularly on my Instagram account.
- Create my first NFT.
Personal Life
- Unsubscribe from email lists that I no longer find value in.
- Donate food at my local food bank at least 5 times this year.
- Work out at least 3 times a week.
- Perform 30 pullups. I can perform 10 reps currently (don’t laugh!)
- Get married.
In the past…

Work Life
So, as you may know, I love to automate things. As a side note to investing, I am actually a senior payroll administrator and I am learning Robotic Process Automation (RPA) to help automate processes to further enhance services to our clients. Additionally, I am currently in my third and final year (thank god) of my degree in payroll management. Unfortunately, this is taking up a huge amount of my time that I would rather be putting into this blog. Sometimes life gets in the way. However, I am focusing on the longer term picture and whilst I have been busy, I have still been investing, updating the performance section of this blog, as well as coming up with some great ideas for where this blog can go.
Investing wise, I have been consistent in investing in my regular ETF portfolio. Although the ETF portfolio is doing well, these investments are for the long-term; my individual stocks are my shorter-term investments. However, what I am struggling to come to terms with is when to actually sell some of the stocks in that portfolio. I tend to hold on to them longer than I initially would have hoped for. Some more research is needed in this regard and one book that I hope will help will be Phil Oakley’s “How to Pick Quality Shares”.
The main reason why I started blogging was to help others. I believe everyone can and should invest. Therefore, one of my main goals is to bring out my own long-term investing e-book. I have made a start and I hope to bring out the e-book in the new year.
If you want to be the first to hear about the launch of my new and first investment strategy (hopefully more of many), then be sure to join my email list.
Personal Life
Not much to report here, other than I have moved into my first home with my fiancée. We have a French Bulldog who is currently 7 months (at the time of writing this) and yes we have already decked the house for Christmas! Crazy!
I’m currently reading How to Pick Quality Shares by Phil Oakley.

Work Life
My coding skills have improved dramatically during lockdown. I have spent many hours a day coding, and I love it. I now have a few strategies in my portfolio which you can see in my performance section where I share my bots performance.
I am currently developing a new cbot which is coming together really well. My goal will be to sell this bot once completed and tested.
But more about that later.
If you want to be the first to hear about this new bot, be sure to join my email list.
Personal Life
Whilst in lockdown, I have started incorporating body weight exercises and tabata style workouts into my fitness regime. I have realised that I don’t need to go to the gym to be able to get a decent workout in. My body and the outdoors (or my indoor pullup bar) is all that’s needed.
I’m currently reading Awaken the Giant Within by Tony Robbins.

Health and fitness
I’ve moved to a more plant based diet and looking at nutrition more holistically. Personally I believe that a more balanced lifestyle is more beneficial and by not being labelled as “vegan” will mean that I can actually stick to eating healthily longer-term.
I am also intermittent fasting by following the Leangains guide with my eating window being 1-8 (or 9).
I’ve started meditating for 5 minutes each day using an app called Headspace. I have found that the benefits of meditation has spilled into trading such as improved clarity, lower stress and increased patience.

Health and fitness
I’ve moved to a vegan diet which I have been following for over a year now.
I’ve decided to start using my juicer again (it was gathering dust for some time!). So instead of making juices each and everyday I make a big batch that lasts me one week.
I’ve also recently started drinking more water. Living in the UK, I find it hard to drink water in the winter. I’m aiming for at least 2 Liters per day.
I’ve started meditating for 5 minutes each day using an app called Headspace.
Writing
I’m pushing myself to publish more on this blog. I’m constantly coming up with ideas, however, I struggle to write and actually put pen to paper. HELPPPPP!
